About Laidman Lake Ecolodge
We're dedicated to delivering the finest executive lodging and wilderness experience in British Columbia
Known as the "Land Without Limits", the Cariboo Chilcotin Coast of British Columbia is remote and diverse, stretching from the wilderness of the Pacific Coast to the rolling Cariboo Mountains.
The Laidman Experience at a Glimpse
Laidman Lake Ecolodge is a remote 70 acre wilderness retreat that flies customers from Vancouver to the interior of central British Columbia to experience high end “off the grid” accommodations and experiences.
Customers fly to Laidman Lake via a seaplane and cabin in part of the remotest area in Canada. The customers will enjoy an intimate setting of five executive sleeping lodges, including eleven outbuildings and a barn. Customers have the opportunity of participating in such activities as guided heli-ski, kayak, canoe, hiking, and fishing, sightseeing, and or bird watching tours or just relax and take in the onsite seclusion and activities.
While on location customers will be the only group on the lake and enjoy an all inclusive gourmet environment with high speed internet access, satellite television, an executive chef, server, grounds keeper, medical staff, plane and pilot, and liaison.
Our Focus
Corporate Values
The Laidman Lake Ecolodge Business Philosophy stems from our Corporate Values.
LEARN BUILD AND GROW.
This statement disseminates through all of our operating statements, through how we communicate with our stakeholders, and through how we do business.
Business Vision
To run a world class chain of environmentally conscious adventure tourism and escape tourism destinations that operate on the premise of the unheard of, dreamed of, or attempted.
Our Sustainable Efforts
- Waste management is one of our highest priorities, we take every opportunity possible to compost, reuse, or recycle materials brought on site.
- We do not accept any of our produce unless it is shipped in reusable or recyclable material.
- We consider geography, our local community, and sustainability when choosing our suppliers, employees, and business partners.
- At the lodge, your internet, satellite TV, and phone are all run off of a solar energized power grid.
- All employees support what we call our grass is greener initiative, an employee driven eco improvement project.
- Size and scale of our operation is based on mitigating environmental impact, no two trips or wilderness experiences will ever be identical.
- We have our own green thumb on staff and she prides herself on her garden, call to find out what fresh produce we have this season.
- The lodge has recently invested in a new, smarter, generator; going from a 90% consumption rate for a two day period to a 7% consumption rate for that same process and period.
We Need Your Help

There truly is no limit to the adventure and exploration you can take up while at our lodge. But, we need your help to keep this enigmatic landscape’s mystery and beauty. It is up to all visitors and staff to remember that these places are special and that there is a delicate balance that must be maintained by striving for as much harmony as possible with our surrounding environment. This said, you dream it and we’ll make it so. Just please, let us know what your expectations are by sending us an email or filling out a questionnaire upon arrival. Our staff members are here to turn your out of this world experience into an out of this lifetime story.
